Theater visits, reviews to stop for social distancing

While the COVID-19 coronavirus has yet to come to Bemidji, Minn., the city where I reside, it has reached Minnesota. As a result, I’d like to be careful during this time and do some social distancing, and that means no more trips to the movie theater.

As a result, there will be no reviews of new 2020 movies coming in the immediate future. This will be at least through April 15, and longer if necessary.

It’s not good news, because I don’t just love movies, I also love the theater experience. I enjoy going to watch films on the biggest screen with powerful sound. Not being able to do so for several weeks is unfortunate. However, every little bit can help slow this thing down, so I’d like to do my part.

Just because I won’t be going to the theater, though, doesn’t mean content here will dry up. Over the next few weeks, I’m going to be exploring some other options, which may range from watching films I missed in 2019 to opinion columns.

Thanks for understanding.
